As a solo traveler you are responsible for yourself, your possessions, your physical fitness, and all other aspects related to participation in the WTT tour you have chosen. Be sure to read the itinerary closely to better understand the physical requirements necessary for the tour.

Our beachfront Fort Myers hotel gives a serene "Old Florida" beach escape on the quiet north end of Estero Island — a gentle landing before the fun really begins. Your private room has easy access to the sun, surf and sand. Once in the heart of Old Naples, our home base is a charming boutique property on 5th Avenue with a rooftop pool. There are exceptional dining options nearby as well as entertainment venues and upscale shopping.
Itinerary
Tuesday, 30 March 2027: Arrives Fort Myers; Welcome Dinner (D)
Schedule your flight into Fort Myers to arrive no later than 4:00pm and take local transportation to the hotel. The tour begins at 6:00pm in the lobby of our hotel. After our Welcome Meeting we will enjoy a Welcome Dinner and get better acquainted. Overnight Fort Myers - 1 night
Wednesday, 31 March 2027: Naples Trolley Tour; Naples Botanical Garden; Sunset Cruise (B,L)
We head south to Naples, one of Florida's most refined coastal cities — where Old Florida charm meets Gulf Coast elegance. We'll explore Naples by trolley to get our bearings, winding through Mediterranean-revival architecture, tree-lined streets, and the upscale shops of Fifth Avenue South, carried along by salt breezes and the unhurried pace of coastal life. We enjoy lunch together and then explore the 170-acre Naples Botanical Garden, where gardens representing tropical regions from around the globe come alive with native wildlife — butterflies, iguanas, and birds among the blooms. Weather pending, we'll enjoy a sunset cruise along the Gulf Coast . Overnight Naples - 3 nights
Thursday, 01 April 2027: Mangrove Kayaking; Afternoon Food Tour (B,O)
Today we explore mangrove tunnels by kayak. All skill levels are welcome as we navigate calm, protected waterways. No experience is required! After a brief safety meeting, our guide will lead us through the emerald waters, gliding beneath mangrove canopies where wading birds and fish inhabit their natural habitat. We head back to town for some time to relax and freshen up, before we reconvene for a walking food tour. We explore the vibrant downtown of Naples and sample a few local favorites along the way.
Friday, 02 April 2027: Free Day; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
Naples has a bit of everything to offer. This day is yours to spend as you wish. Your Tour Leader will have suggestions. Perhaps stroll through historic Old Naples, relax on sugar-sand beaches, browse local galleries, or simply unwind the hotel. Late this afternoon, we'll make our way back to Fort Myers. We stay near the airport for convenience. Tonight we enjoy a Farewell Dinner together to celebrate our Southwest Florida adventure and share memories of our time exploring this coastal paradise. Overnight Fort Myers - 1 night
Saturday, 03 April 2027: Return Home from Fort Myers (B)
Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Based on the departure time you provide WTT, your Tour Leader can assist with organizing travelers into small groups so you can ride-share to the airport if you wish.

Your Responsibilities as a Solo Traveler
As a solo traveler you are responsible for yourself, your possessions, your physical fitness, and all other aspects related to participation in the WTT tour you have chosen. Be sure to read the itinerary closely to better understand the physical requirements necessary for the tour.
WTT tours are not suitable for anyone whose mobility is challenged or compromised. If you struggle with walking, standing or negotiating stairs or if you are in doubt as to your ability to meet the physical activity requirements, you should not sign up for this trip.
What is the Group Size?
You will be introduced to the WTT Tour Leader when you receive your Final Travel Instructions, about 2-3 weeks before the tour begins.
Learn about your fellow travelers after final payment by visiting MyWTT. Room sharing assignments will be listed in the Final Travel Instructions.
What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Each day of the itinerary lists the included meals for that day (B,L,D,O=Other). When a meal is not included, the WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions for where to eat.
You do not have to dine alone unless it is your personal choice. You'll most likely be dining with new acquaintances you've made, or you can join the Tour Leader.
Dietary Restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten-free dietary restrictions can be accommodated on this tour with limited selections.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
In general the temperature, rainfall and humidity levels vary based on the time of the year. We suggest you monitor weather apps leading up to the time you depart for the most current information.
For This Trip You Will Need—
- Comfortable clothing for kayaking, boating & shelling. Quick-dry, sun-blocking materials are helpful.
- Sturdy water-friendly footwear (old sneakers you don’t mind getting wet)
- Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen
- Reusable water bottle
For This Trip You May Want—
- Small backpack or day bag
- Lightweight rain jacket/windbreaker - afternoon showers are no uncommon
- Swimsuit and cover up
- Insect repellent
- Smart-casual wear if you'd like to dress up a bit for dinners
- If you are prone to sea sickness, consider bringing medication or supplements like ginger.
- Waterproof pouch for phone, etc. for kayaking
Good Packing Habits—
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping aids, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring only two pairs of everyday shoes: one pair of well-broken-in walking shoes, and a second pair that could do double-duty as a walking shoe or a slightly dressy shoe.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
We will be using the WTT coach on this tour. The luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations and the requirement that travelers manage their belongings.
- It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
- You may bring one suitcase and a day pack or shoulder bag to keep with you in the coach.
- Maximum suitcase size: 22-24 inches in height. This is the size of bag that fits into the overhead bins of aircraft. Suitcases larger than this will not fit properly in the WTT coach; don't bring them.
- The weight of your bag should not exceed 30 pounds as you will need to lift it into the coach luggage compartment.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings. We expect you to take your belongings from the coach to your room and to bring it back to the coach and load it on days we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient. The possibility of steps exist at most hotel entrances.
How much money should I bring on this tour?
Only you can determine the optimum amount of cash to take on tour. When budgeting for out-of-pocket expenses, there are several aspects to consider: the number of meals you are responsible for, the amount of money you like to have on-hand for snacks and drinks, and your individual shopping interests and habits. More and more, restaurants are no longer allowing groups to split the bill by charging to multiple credit cards. Therefore, you might want to have cash-on-hand for meals on your own when dining with others in the group.
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- You are responsible for tipping waitstaff, porters, or other individuals who provide a service to you at the hotel, or other public locations.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Director for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
