Itinerary
Monday, 19 April 2027: Arrive Maui; Welcome Meeting and Dinner (D)
Aloha! Schedule your arrival to Maui no later than 3:00pm and take local transportation (or purchase an optional private transfer) to the hotel. Depending on when you arrive, you may have time this afternoon to explore. The tour begins at 5:30pm with a Welcome Meeting in the lobby of the hotel. This will be followed by dinner to get acquainted and discuss our upcoming adventures. Overnight Maui - 3 nights
Tuesday, 20 April 2027: Haleakala National Park; Maui Culture and History Tour (B,L)
Magical Maui offers a lifetime's worth of unique experiences, unparalleled scenery, and moments that make it the must-visit Hawaiian island. We begin at Haleakala ("House of the Sun"), the world’s largest dormant volcano. It's a surreal world where the air thins, the plant life changes from the valley floor and the volcano creates its own weather. More endangered species live in Haleakala National Park than any other US national park and we will learn about the unique geology and ecology on a walk together. Later, we descend back to the valley floor and learn more about the culture and history of Maui.
Wednesday, 21 April 2027: Personal Day to Explore Maui (B)
There is much to see and do on the island of Maui and today is yours to plan as you wish. The nature opportunities are endless. You can relax on one of the lovely local beaches or rent snorkel gear and dive in the water. You could take the world-renowned Road to Hana tour; the drive is one of the most stunning in the world, twisting and turning through dense forest, across trickling streams, and near gorgeous waterfalls. Your Tour Leader will have suggestions for things to do this day and can help pair travelers with similar interests.
Thursday, 22 April 2027: Fly to the Big Island; Kona Luau (B,D)
We bid farewell to Maui this morning and depart for our flight to Hawaii Island, most often referred to as the "Big Island" as it's the largest in the archipelago. The Big Island is geologically diverse and includes almost all of the earth's major geological zones except for Arctic and Antarctic. It even has its own desert, the Kau Desert. From the majestic snow-capped Mauna Kea to the lush rainforests of the Hamakua & Puna coastline, this island offers an array of natural wonders to discover. It is home to many agricultural products including coffee, sugar, macadamia nuts and beef. We transfer to our hotel. Tonight, we regroup for a festive luau – an important part of Hawaiian life that celebrates special occasions and features lively music, vibrant cultural performances, and traditional foods such as kalua puaʻa (kālua pig) and poi. Friday, 23 April 2027: Volcanoes National Park; Coffee Farm; Punalu'u Beach Park (B,L,D)
Today, we discover the Big Island's most spectacular natural splendors as well as the history, culture, and geology of the island on this full day filled with exceptional experiences. We will see a black sand beach and dramatic waterfalls, visit a lava tube, stroll the orchards of a coffee farm, and explore the UNESCO-listed Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The volatile park’s centerpiece is Kilauea, which continues to glow with molten lava. Tonight, weather permitting, we will travel to an ideal location for stargazing. Depending on cloud cover, our views may allow us to observe stars, planets, galaxies, the moon, and much more while we learn the Hawaiian legends and lore of the sky.
Saturday, 24 April 2027: Personal Day to Explore Kona (B)
Spend the day doing whatever interests you. Lined with lava fields, coffee farms, and some of Hawaii’s most beautiful coastline, the Kona district provides a relaxed atmosphere. There is so much to choose from, especially if you like water activities. Swim, snorkel, scuba dive, or even go whale watching. Away from the water, you could take a stroll in a botanical garden, tour Hulihe‘e Palace constructed in 1838 or meet locals at the farmer's market. Your Tour Leader will have suggestions.
Sunday, 25 April 2027: Fly to Oahu; Free Afternoon; Evening Sunset Cruise (B)
This morning we say goodbye to the Big Island and fly to Oahu, the most populated island in Hawaii. Oahu is home to the state capital of Honolulu as well as Pearl Harbor. Oahu's Waikiki beaches are world-famous. There will be free time to enjoy the beach or other pursuits before we regroup this evening for a spectacular sunset catamaran cruise. We will take in the incredible views as the setting sun paints the sky in gorgeous golden hues. Overnight Oahu - 3 nights
Monday, 26 April 2027: Grand Circle Tour of Oahu Island with Lunch (B,L)
We will spend another full but exciting day together exploring the highlights of Oahu, circling the island to stop at key landmarks including Diamond Head, Makapu’u Point, and the Dole Plantation. Other stops during our day could include the stunning Japanese Byodo-In Temple, Nuuanu Pali Lookout, and the Halona Blowhole (when conditions allow). We will drive through beautiful scenery admiring white sand beaches, lush valleys, sacred Hawaiian grounds, and the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, we will learn about Hawaii’s bird and plant species, geology, history, and culture.
Tuesday, 27 April 2027: Personal Day to Explore Oahu; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
Spend the day as you wish. If you love the water, we suggest a surfing lesson or trying out an outrigger canoe on Waikiki Beach. For history buffs, visit the museums and memorials at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center seeing the USS Arizona Memorial and exploring in depth what occurred on the "date which will live in infamy." You could visit Iolani Palace built in 1882 (home to the king and queen of Hawaii when it was a sovereign nation) or cool down with a treat of Shave Ice. Tonight, we conclude our time together with our Farewell Dinner.
Wednesday, 28 April 2027: Return Home (B)
Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Schedule your return flight from Honolulu at your convenience. Transfers are not included, but based on the departure time you provide WTT, your Tour Leader can assist with organizing travelers into small groups so you can ride-share to the airport if you wish.

Payment Dates -and- Cancellation Terms for This Tour
You have 3 days to cancel and receive a refund. Thereafter, the amount required at time of reservation is non-refundable and the following cancellation penalties will be enforced.
Wednesday, 21 Oct 2026: Last day $750 deposit can be converted to a credit for use on a new reservation; thereafter the deposit is forfeited.
Tuesday, 19 Jan 2027: Balance Due. Cancellation after this date but before Friday, 5 Mar 2027 results in a cancellation penalty of 75% of your Total Tour Cost.
Friday, 5 Mar 2027: Cancellation on or after this date results in a cancellation penalty of 100% of your Total Tour Cost.
Using Parked Credits: If traveler cancels during the 3-day cancel without penalty period, used credits will be re-parked with the original expiration date(s). Thereafter, cancellation will result in forfeiture of the total amount of parked credits used. If applicable, additional cancellation penalties will be assessed based on date of cancellation.
To Cancel: Should you need to cancel after your space on this tour is confirmed, you must use the Cancellation Form. Cancellation penalties are based on the date we receive your cancellation form. No other method of communicating a cancellation will be accepted.
Insurance Reminder
Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption Insurance is not included in the cost of the tour. It is your responsibility to determine the amount and type of coverage you require to recoup some or all of your travel investment, whether you cancel, are unable to complete the tour, or the tour cannot operate. Section 4.0 of WTT Terms & Conditions explains what will happen to your payments in the unlikely event that your tour cannot operate.

Once you have booked your flights (or other transportation arrangements), use the Travel Arrangements Form to send WTT your flight details. Use the same form to update your information should it change.
Airport Transfer Information
When arrival transfers are not included: WTT will provide suggestions to get to the hotel in your Final Travel Instructions about 2-3 weeks before the start of the tour. You'll also be able to see who else is arriving at the same time if you want to coordinate ride-sharing to the hotel.
NOTE: This tour has a private optional arrival transfer available for purchase.
Don't Worry. We're Expecting You: One of the reasons we ask for your travel arrangements is so we know when you're arriving and can approximate when you should be at the hotel. Your Final Travel Instructions will have instructions on what to do and who to contact if your flight is delayed.

Whenever possible, we choose hotels that are near the city center and/or where there are things to do and places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. When the chosen hotel is not within walking distance of much, transportation options, at the traveler's expense, are typically available.
In the unlikely event WTT is unable to provide the hotel accommodation(s) listed, for whatever reason, WTT will substitute similar quality accommodation(s) at no additional cost to the traveler.

How Does Room Sharing Work?
On the Reservation Form there are 3 choices regarding room-sharing.
Note: Certain room-types may be unavailable at the time you make your reservation. If a room-type is unavailable the choice will be greyed out.
- Select "Yes, I want to share a room" and WTT will assign you a roommate when Final Travel Instructions are sent.
- You can specify a roommate by entering her name where indicated. If your named roommate is not on the tour, for any reason, WTT will assign you a roommate unless you pay to have your own room, if available.
- Select "No, I do not wish to share a room" if you want to have your own room. Additional costs apply.

What is the Group Size?
You will be introduced to the WTT Tour Leader when you receive your Final Travel Instructions, about 2-3 weeks before the tour begins.

What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Each day of the itinerary lists the included meals for that day (B,L,D,O). When a meal is not included, the WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions for where to eat.
You do not have to dine alone unless it is your personal choice. You'll most likely be dining with new acquaintances you've made, or you can join the Tour Leader.
Dietary Restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten-free dietary restrictions can be accommodated on this tour with limited selections.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
You Will Need—
- Active and comfortable clothing that can be easily layered
- Warm jacket for the visit to Haleakala National Park—it can be very cold on the summit!
- Closed-toe shoes with good tread—many excursions require them
You May Also Want—
- Swimsuit with a cover-up and water shoes
- Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Refillable water bottle
Good Packing Habits—
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping aids, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring only two pairs of everyday shoes: one pair of well-broken-in walking shoes, and a second pair that could do double-duty as a walking shoe or a slightly dressy shoe.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
- Bring no more than one suitcase plus a personal carry-on item such as a small shoulder bag or day pack.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings, whether it is at the airport or moving from hotel to hotel.
- Hawaiian Airlines charges for checked bags. If you are planning to bring a piece of checked luggage, you will need to pay a Checked Bag Fee of $30 for each flight (subject to change), assuming your piece of luggage does not exceed 50 lbs and 28 inches. Overweight/oversize rates apply. There is no extra charge to carry on one piece of luggage that is no larger than 22-23 inches. This is the size bag that fits into the overhead bin on most aircraft.
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- You are responsible for tipping waitstaff, porters, or other individuals who provide a service to you at the hotel, or other public locations.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
Can I transfer my deposit to another tour?
To get off this tour and register for another tour, you must follow these steps - in the order shown:
2) WAIT before submitting your new reservation! You must receive the Cancellation Confirmation email before submitting your new reservation. This can take up to 2 business days. The Cancellation Confirmation email will list the amount of parked credits from this tour that are now available to use on a new reservation.
3) COMPLETE the new Reservation Form and USE the parked credits towards your deposit on the new tour.
Note: If you used Parked Credits to pay the deposit on this tour, these credits cannot be used a second time and are not eligible to be transferred.
