Your Hotel: New York Marriott Marquis
Step into the magic of Manhattan at the Marriott Marquis, located in bustling Times Square near the lights and theaters of Broadway. This property is just steps away from many of NYC's most iconic attractions and you'll feel like you truly are in the heart of the Big Apple.Itinerary
Monday, 26 April 2027: Arrive NYC; Welcome Dinner (D)
Welcome to New York City! Schedule your flight to arrive into a New York City airport no later than 4:00pm to have time to make your way to the hotel. La Guardia is the nearest airport to downtown Manhattan but feel free to fly into any airport that suits you. Should you arrive earlier in the day, relax or go exploring. The tour begins at 6:00PM in the lobby of the hotel. Our Welcome Meeting will be followed by a Welcome Dinner to get acquainted and discuss our upcoming adventure. Overnight NYC - 4 nights
Tuesday, 27 April 2027: Women of NYC Tour; Museum of Broadway; Broadway Show (B,L)
Our day begins with a walking tour that explores the pivotal role women have played in the history and development of New York City. Our guide will share little known stories of female pioneers whose contributions made this city into the bustling, thriving place it continues to be. From the original Native American inhabitants, through world wars, Wall Street trailblazers and into 9/11, we'll learn more about many of the women who made history. After lunch together, we'll take in the Museum of Broadway, which features everything from glamorous costumes to intricate sets and tells the story about the city's renowned theater culture. Tonight, we enjoy a Broadway Show (specific show TBD) together
Wednesday, 28 April 2027: Chelsea Market Food Tour; Central Park Carriage Ride; 2nd Broadway Show (B,O)
New York City's most impressive indoor food market is Chelsea Market in what is known as the Meatpacking District. A collection of distinctive and diverse merchants, it's much more than the average food hall. We will explore this market with a knowledgeable guide who spins fascinating tales of culinary history as well as dishing on current celebrity chefs. Afterward, we will walk the High Line, an abandoned elevated railway that has been re-imagined as one of the world's great pedestrian parks; and we head to Central Park for a quintessential ride in a horse-drawn carriage. Tonight, we enjoy a 2nd Broadway Show (specific show TBD).
Thursday, 29 April 2027: Greenwich Village; Empire State Building; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
This morning we'll explore Greenwich Village — one of NYC's most charming and historically rich neighborhoods. From 1920s bohemian artists and intellectuals to 1960s radicals and the landmark Stonewall uprising, the Village has long been at the heart of American cultural change. You might choose to stroll through iconic Washington Square Park, step inside the historic Stonewall Inn, or simply wander the picturesque streets. Your Tour Director will have plenty of ideas of things to do. This afternoon, we head to the top of the Empire State Building. Built in 1931, this beloved Art Deco skyscraper is so iconic — and so vast — that it has its own zip code. The views from the top are simply unforgettable. We'll close out our journey with a lovely Farewell Dinner.
Friday, 30 April 2027: Return Home from New York
Sadly, our adventure comes to an end. Schedule your departure flight at your convenience. Your Tour Leader can help coordinate ride-shares to the airport if you so wish. If you wish to spend more time in New York City and stay for an additional night, there is a post night optional available (excludes breakfast). See the reservation form for pricing.

For This Trip You May Want—
- Shoes that are comfortable for walking
- Smart-casual wear if you'd like to dress up a bit for dinners and Broadway shows
- Refillable water bottle
- Jacket/sweater for cool evenings as we will be exiting Broadway shows at a late hour
Good Packing Habits—
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping aids, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring only two pairs of everyday shoes: one pair of well-broken-in walking shoes, and a second pair that could do double-duty as a walking shoe or a slightly dressy shoe.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
- We strongly recommend you bring only one suitcase plus small shoulder bag/day pack/purse.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings.

- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
