Traveling to London and Paris is like stepping into two of the most culturally and historically rich cities in the world. In fact, six of London’s most significant cultural landmarks are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We traverse these two cities on the high-speed Eurostar Train, which whisks us under the English Channel. For centuries Paris has been a flourishing cultural capital with its hundreds of museums, galleries and churches that grace nearly every part of the city. We'll visit the highlights of the city, taking in the Louvre, lunching at the Eiffel Tower, visiting Versailles and taking a tour Paris over dinner and wine.

Itinerary
Monday, 03 May 2027: Arrive London; City Sightseeing Tour; Welcome Dinner at Local Pub (D)
Schedule your arrival into London no later than 10:00am and take local transportation (or purchase an optional private transfer) to the hotel. We begin at 1:15PM in the hotel lobby with our Welcome Meeting. Directly after, we will depart for our city sightseeing and orientation tour. We will see iconic sights such as the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, St. Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge. This is a tour primarily by coach, but we will make a stop for a short walking tour as there are some places the coach cannot reach. Upon return to the hotel we will enjoy a light dinner at a local pub this evening. Overnight London - 4 nights
Tuesday, 04 May 2027: Tower of London; Westminster Abbey; Afternoon Tea (B,O)
The most expedient way of getting around London is via the London Underground (subway), more commonly referred to as the Tube. And that's exactly how we'll traverse the city today on foot and via the underground, taking in two of London's four UNESCO World Heritage sites. We begin at the Tower of London to glimpse the crown jewels. We then head to Westminster Abbey, one of the world's great churches and an architectural masterpiece of the 13th to 16th centuries. It's a living pageant of British history, site of every coronation since 1066 and it is where many monarchs are buried. The Abbey also showcases Britain's most celebrated scientists, writers, thinkers and politicians. Later we enjoy afternoon tea, the quintessential English experience and the perfect way to end our day. This is a good evening to schedule a show in the West End (London's equivalent to Broadway) if you're so inclined.
Wednesday, 05 May 2027: Free Day in London (B)
Today is your day to experience aspects of London that most appeal to you. So many of London's museums and galleries are free of charge. You may want to visit the world-famous British Museum or peruse modern art at the Tate. Or maybe you simply want to poke around Harrods, arguably the world's most famous department store. You can even book a day trip to Stonehenge. Your WTT Tour Leader will have a sightseeing itinerary if you wish to spend the day with her.
Thursday, 06 May 2027: Windsor Castle and Town of Windsor (B)
This morning we travel through the English countryside to Windsor Castle, home of the British royal family for more than 900 years, and the late Queen's favorite weekend retreat. The castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion and is the world's oldest and largest occupied castle. It is steeped in royal history and antique furnishings. We'll see the Gothic St. George's Chapel, one of the most beautiful and impressive buildings in England and the final resting place for 10 monarchs. After visiting the castle, enjoy time exploring the town. We'll return to London late this afternoon.
Friday, 07 May 2027: Eurostar Train to Paris; City Tour (B,D)
We get an early start this morning to catch the Eurostar train to Paris for an enjoyable 2 1/2-hour journey that takes us under the English Channel and emerges in the French countryside before terminating in Paris. Upon arrival, we'll be transferred to our hotel to freshen up and relax. This evening, we are in for a treat with a panoramic sightseeing tour of Paris while we enjoy a 6-course French meal aboard the Bustronome where we'll see why Paris is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Overnight Paris - 4 nights
Saturday, 08 May 2027: Musee de L'Orangerie; Lunch @ the Eiffel Tower; Free Afternoon (B,L)
We set out on foot and via Paris Metro to visit the Musee de L'Orangerie, a small art gallery housing impressionist and post-impressionist paintings. We are here to see the large canvas murals painted by Claude Monet. Seeing Monet's huge Water Lilies panels today will provide us with a better foundation when we visit Monet's Gardens tomorrow. After our visit here, we'll make our way by Metro to the Eiffel Tower to lunch at the newly renovated restaurant on the second floor. The views from here are outstanding and the experience is a must-do! This afternoon is then yours to further explore Paris. You might opt to visit additional world-class museums like the Musee d'Orsay or the Rodin Museum. Or perhaps stroll along the Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe where from the top you get one of the best views of Paris. There is no shortage of interesting things to do and see and your Tour Leader will be able to provide additional suggestions of how to spend this time.
Sunday, 09 May 2027: Monet's Garden; The Palace of Versailles (B)
Our day begins with a drive into the French countryside to Giverny to see the gardens that inspired French Impressionist painter Claude Monet. After time for lunch on your own, we'll re-board the coach for the hour's drive to the Palace of Versailles, the center of political power in France under Louis XIV. The breathtaking chateau features the King’s Grand Apartments, the Museum of the History of France and the Hall of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles ending the First World War was ratified. We return to Paris late this afternoon. This is a long but rewarding day.
Monday, 10 May 2027: The Louvre; Free Afternoon; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
This morning we begin our day together with a visit to the Louvre, originally a royal palace and now the world's largest art museum featuring famous works, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. We recognize that some can spend all day in the vast halls of the Louvre and others prefer to minimize their museum experience so after gaining entrance, the rest of the day is yours. Your WTT Tour Leader can offer suggestions on how to maximize this day. There is so much to do here, you won't be bored! We end our adventure with a Farewell Dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
Tuesday, 11 May 2027: Return Home from Paris (B)
Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Schedule your departure at your convenience. Based on the departure time you provide WTT, your Tour Leader will organize travelers into small groups so you can ride-share to the airport if you wish.

Your Responsibilities as a Solo Traveler
As a solo traveler you are responsible for yourself, your possessions, your physical fitness, and all other aspects related to participation in the WTT tour you have chosen. Be sure to read the itinerary closely to better understand the physical requirements necessary for the tour.
WTT tours are not suitable for anyone whose mobility is challenged or compromised. If you struggle with walking, standing or negotiating stairs or if you are in doubt as to your ability to meet the physical activity requirements, you should not sign up for this trip.
What is the Group Size?
You will be introduced to the WTT Tour Leader when you receive your Final Travel Instructions, about 2-3 weeks before the tour begins.
Learn about your fellow travelers after final payment by visiting MyWTT. Room sharing assignments will be listed in the Final Travel Instructions.
What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Each day of the itinerary lists the included meals for that day. When a meal is not included, the WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions for where to eat.
You do not have to dine alone unless it is your personal choice. You'll most likely be dining with new acquaintances you've made, or you can join the Tour Leader.
Dietary Restrictions on International Tours: WTT has limited to no control over food selections or variety from meal-to-meal, especially at hotels. While we do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and ensure variety of options, we cannot guarantee either.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
In general the temperature, rainfall and humidity levels vary based on the time of the year. There is always a chance of rain in London.
For This Trip You May Want—
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Clothing that easily layers for warmth
- Lightweight rain jacket
- Smart-casual wear if you'd like to dress up a bit for dinners
Good Packing Habits—
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping aids, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring only two pairs of everyday shoes: one pair of well-broken-in walking shoes, and a second pair that could do double-duty as a walking shoe or a slightly dressy shoe.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
On every WTT tour, our policies regarding luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicles we use, the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance, and the restrictions imposed by other forms of transportation such as trains.
- It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
- You may bring one suitcase no larger than 33 inches on the longest side, plus 1 carry-on, which will make it easier to manage your belongings, plus a smaller bag to use as a carry-on
- The Eurostar train restricts luggage size to 85 cm (33.46 inches) at its widest point. You MUST be able to lift and carry your own luggage on the train.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings. That means we expect you to take your belongings from the coach to your room and to bring it back to the coach on the day we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient.
- Steps exist at most hotel entrances. On occasion the coach must unload passengers and luggage some distance from the hotel entrance.
What are the phone and internet recommendations for this tour?
- You should understand what your current cell phone plan includes in terms of data and minutes. Some, like certain T-Mobile plans, include an international package.
- Contact your cell phone service provider before departing about adding an international calling plan. Most carriers have flat daily rates which will allow your US-based phone to be functional upon arrival in a foreign country.
- Managing data while traveling internationally is important. Using WiFi when available and communicating through apps like What's App help you manage data usage while traveling.
- Learn how to make an international call BEFORE you leave. Consult your cell provider and check out the website www.HowtoCallAbroad.com.
How much money should I bring on this tour?
- England's official currency is the Pound (GBP). The official currency used in France is the Euro (EU).
- ATMs are found in most cities and are typically the best way of obtaining cash. Be judicious about where you use your debit card to minimize fees on cash withdrawals. ATMS of major banks will often give much better exchange rates than currency-exchange kiosks.
- Many travelers feel more comfortable obtaining local currency before they depart the US. You can order local currency from your bank or AAA.
- Notify your credit card issuer that you will be traveling and provide dates of travel.
- Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted throughout England and France, although many cards charge a foreign transaction fee. Be sure to investigate your card of choice as there are many credit cards that impose no foreign transaction fees and are therefore better suited for international travel.
- If a merchant gives you the choice between making your transaction in USD or the local currency, always choose the local currency to avoid dynamic currency conversion which includes a conversion fee.
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- You are responsible for tipping transfer drivers, wait staff, porters, hotel housekeeping and others who provide a service to you.
- In London, most restaurants and pubs will include a service charge on the bill. If there is no service charge, you should tip for good service. An appropriate amount would be 10-15 percent of the total. It is polite to round up your taxi fare to the nearest pound. If you receive excellent service at a hotel, a small tip is appreciated.
- In Paris, service is already factored into any restaurant price. However, it's customary to leave something small. If you receive assistance translating a menu or have special requests for the kitchen, consider tipping more.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
Can I transfer my deposit to another tour?
