Tuesday, 08 June 2027: Arrive Deer Lake; Welcome Meeting and Dinner (D)
Schedule your arrival into Deer Lake no later than 4:00pm and take local transportation to the hotel. The tour begins at 6:00pm in the lobby of our hotel. We will make introductions and then enjoy dinner together to get better acquainted. Overnight Deer Lake - 1 night
Wednesday, 09 June 2027: Gros Morne National Park - Discovery Center and Hiking (B,L)
This morning, you'll discover why Gros Morne National Park earned its UNESCO World Heritage designation as we venture into one of Canada's most spectacular natural treasures. Dramatic fjords reach toward the sky while ancient mountains create an ever-changing backdrop across beaches, bogs, and forests that give way to striking barren cliffs. Your journey begins at the new Discovery Centre, followed by the otherworldly Tableland Mountains – a geological marvel so unique that scientists call this region the "Galapagos of Plate Tectonics." As you take in sweeping panoramic views, you'll understand why this landscape feels like stepping into another world. There's time for a hike, allowing you to immerse yourself in the environment. Thursday, 10 June 2027: Western Brook Pond Trail Hike and Boat Tour (B,L)
This morning we return to Gros Morne to visit the Western Brook Pond fjord, a location that takes some effort - ultimately making the views more rewarding. We begin by hiking along the Western Brook Pond trail to the dock at edge of the fjord, an approximate 1.75-mile path made up of gravel and boardwalk. Along the way, we'll cross the bogs and forested ridges of the parks’ coastal lowlands. Here, we'll board a boat to explore even more of this breathtaking landscape. This spectacular glacier-carved landlocked fjord has waterfalls cascading from 2,000 feet and billion-year-old cliffs, with frequent wildlife sightings. After this excursion, we'll continue by coach on to Gander. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy as you wish. Overnight Gander - 3 nights
Friday, 11 June 2027: Gander Sightseeing; Free Afternoon (B,D)
Gander is a strategically located town that once served as an important refueling stop for transatlantic flights. It played a crucial role during the crisis of 9/11 by hosting 6,700 grounded passengers and crew for several days. Through countless acts of kindness and sacrifice, the community transformed a time of despair into one of hope. During your visit to the North Atlantic Aviation Museum, you'll learn about Gander's strategic role in aviation history and its important contributions during World War II and beyond. You'll also visit the Silent Witnesses Memorial. This afternoon is free for you to enjoy as you wish. We suggest taking a stroll on the level trail and boardwalk that circles Cobb's Pond Rotary Park to take in the scenic surroundings.
Saturday, 12 June 2027: Town of Twillingate Tour; Wildlife Boat Tour (B)
We visit the quaint small town of Twillingate, part of "Iceberg Alley" which stretches from the coast of Labrador to the southeast coast of Newfoundland. Twillingate embodies everything so many Newfoundland and Labrador outposts are famous for: stunningly rugged coastline; historical, picturesque streets; and lush countryside roads. After a bit of time to explore the town, we enjoy a boat tour and take in the coastal views from a different angle. Be on the lookout for elegant humpback whales, various seabirds including the Atlantic Puffin and perhaps even spot an iceberg!
Sunday, 13 June 2027: Terra Nova National Park; Free Afternoon (B)
Nestled in an old-growth forest next to the Atlantic Ocean, Terra Nova National Park was the first national park established in Newfoundland and Labrador. The breathtaking views of land and sea compete for your attention. Our starting point is the Visitors Centre, situated along the gentle shoreline of Newman Sound. On our hike today, we have an opportunity to glimpse a vast array of animal and marine life, such as moose, caribou, red fox, beaver, bald eagles, river otters, lynx, puffins, dolphins, humpback whales, and harp seals. This afternoon, you will have a bit of free time to explore more of the park on your own. Your Tour Leader can offer suggestions if needed. Overnight Clarenville - 1 night
Monday, 14 June 2027: Skerwink Coastal Trail; Coastal Drive to St. John's (B)
Skerwink Trail is the hiking jewel of Newfoundland and offers incredible views. The loop trail is just over 3 miles and though well-maintained, there are some steep sections which may be slippery if wet. The full loop may be challenging but so worth doing. Along the trail we're likely to see sea stacks, whales, icebergs and eagles, as well as stellar views of the communities of Port Rexton and Trinity. Later we'll enjoy time in a charming coastal town on Trinity Bay. After, we continue along the coast toward St. John's. Overnight St. John's - 3 nights
Tuesday, 15 June 2027: Witless Bay Boat Tour; Cape Spear; Screech-in (B,O)
We board yet another boat today to see Witless Bay, a scenic, traditional Newfoundland community that offers an abundance of natural tourism. The Witless Bay Ecological Reserve contains four islands that teem with bird life during the seabird breeding season. The reserve is known for containing North America’s largest Atlantic puffin colony; more than 260,000 pairs of puffins nest here during the late spring and summer. This afternoon, we visit Cape Spear National Historic Park. On Canada’s most easterly point of land, the oldest surviving lighthouse in Newfoundland and Labrador offers a glimpse into the lives of 19th-century lighthouse keepers and their families. We end our day with an opportunity to become honorary Newfoundlanders as we take part in a traditional "Screech In," a rite of passage whereby rum is drunk, fish are kissed and slang is spoken.
Wednesday, 16 June 2027: St John's Tour; Free Afternoon; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
We explore the town of St. John's on foot this morning. From Water Street and Duckworth Street to Bannerman Park and the Colonial Building, you will be captivated by this beautiful city, its fabulous architecture, and warm welcoming people. We make our way to the Rooms Museum and learn about the history, culture and heritage of the area. This afternoon will be free to visit some of the many spectacular sights that make St. John's famous. Consider Signal Hill with its commanding views of the surrounding bays, or Bannerman Park, a Victorian-era urban park. This evening we gather for our Farewell Dinner to celebrate our amazing adventures in Newfoundland.

Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Schedule your return from St. John's at your convenience. Based on the departure time you provide WTT, your Tour Leader can assist with organizing travelers into small groups so you can ride-share to the airport if you wish.

You have 3 days to cancel and receive a refund. Thereafter, the amount required at time of reservation is non-refundable and the following cancellation penalties will be enforced.
Thursday, 10 Dec 2026: Last day $500 deposit can be converted to a credit for use on a new reservation; thereafter the deposit is forfeited.
Sunday, 28 Feb 2027: Balance Due. Cancellation after this date but before Friday, 9 Apr 2027 results in a cancellation penalty of 75% of your Total Tour Cost.
Friday, 9 Apr 2027: Cancellation on or after this date results in a cancellation penalty of 100% of your Total Tour Cost.
Using Parked Credits: If traveler cancels during the 3-day cancel without penalty period, used credits will be re-parked with the original expiration date(s). Thereafter, cancellation will result in forfeiture of the total amount of parked credits used. If applicable, additional cancellation penalties will be assessed based on date of cancellation.
To Cancel: Should you need to cancel after
your space on this tour is confirmed, you must use the Cancellation Form. Cancellation penalties are based on the date we receive your
cancellation form. No other method of communicating a cancellation will be accepted.
Insurance Reminder
Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption Insurance is not included in the cost of the tour. It is your responsibility to determine the amount and type of coverage you require to recoup some or all of your travel investment, whether you cancel, are unable to complete the tour, or the tour cannot operate. Passport: Travelers are required to have a valid passport. Most countries require your passport to be valid up to six months after your RETURN date, and have at least two consecutive blank pages.
Visa: US citizens do not need a Visa to enter Canada. All other passport holders should check with the Canadian Embassy website to determine if they need a Visa.

When to Book Your Air
Once you have booked your flights (or other transportation arrangements), use the Travel Arrangements Form to send WTT your flight details -AND- use this same form again to update your information should it change.
Airport Transfer Information
When arrival transfers are not included: WTT will provide suggestions to get to the hotel in your Final Travel Instructions about 2-3 weeks before the start of the tour. You'll also be able to see who else is arriving at the same time if you want to coordinate ride-sharing to the hotel.
Don't Worry. We're Expecting You: One of the reasons we ask for your travel arrangements is so we know when you're arriving and can approximate when you should be at the hotel. Your Final Travel Instructions will have instructions on what to do and who to contact if your flight is delayed.

Hotel properties in Newfoundland are often motel style properties. They are basic, clean accomodations.
Whenever possible, we choose hotels that are near the city-center and/or where there are things to do and places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. When the chosen hotel is not walkable public transportation options, at the traveler's expense, are typically available.
International Tours: Please be aware that hotels outside the US may have smaller room sizes, may involve steps to enter the hotel and may not have air conditioning. While WTT strives to find hotels that are similar to US standards, we cannot guarantee it.
In the unlikely event WTT is unable to provide the hotel accommodation(s) listed, for whatever reason, WTT will substitute similar quality accommodation(s) at no additional cost to the traveler.

On the Reservation Form there are 3 choices regarding room-sharing.

What is the Group Size?
You will be introduced to the WTT Tour Leader when you receive your Final Travel Instructions, about 2-3 weeks before the tour begins.

What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Each day of the itinerary lists the included meals for that day (B,L,D,O). When a meal is not included, the WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions for where to eat.
You do not have to dine alone unless it is your personal choice. You'll most likely be dining with new acquaintances you've made, or you can join the Tour Leader.
Dietary Restrictions on International Tours: WTT has limited to no control over food selections or variety from meal-to-meal, especially at hotels. While we do our best to accommodate dietary requests and ensure a variety of options, we cannot guarantee either. We have found that Newfoundland can be particularly challenging for accommodating vegan and vegetarian guests.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
Weather is generally pleasant this time of year with average highs in the low 60s and average lows in the high 40s, but the possibility of warmer or cooler conditions always exists. Though June is the one of the driest months of the year, this region still experiences rainfall in the summer months. We recommend you bring clothing you can easily layer. Check weather apps before you depart for the most current information.

Good Packing Habits—
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind- or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping pills, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on. When traveling internationally, it is recommended you bring extra of any essential medications.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
On every WTT tour, our policies regarding luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicles we use and the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance.
- It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
- We strongly recommend you bring only one suitcase that is a size you are able to manage on your own. Be sure to check your airline luggage policies.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings. We expect you to take your belongings from to and from the coach on days we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient.
- Steps exist at most hotel entrances. On occasion the coach must unload passengers and luggage some distance from the hotel entrance.

How much money should I bring on this tour?
Only you can determine the optimum amount of cash to take on tour. When budgeting for out-of-pocket expenses, there are several aspects to consider: the number of meals you are responsible for, the amount of money you like to have on-hand for snacks and drinks, your individual shopping interests and habits, and money for tipping.
- Canada’s official currency is the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
- ATMs are typically the best way of obtaining cash; they are found in most towns and cities. Canadian dollars can be withdrawn from any ATM. Use a debit card to avoid additional exchange fees.
- Many places accept US dollars, however expect your change to be in CAD. It is better to exchange money at an official money exchange where you get a better rate than what local merchants provide.
- Notify your credit card issuer that you will be traveling and provide dates of travel. Credit cards are widely accepted in Canada.
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- You are responsible for Tipping the In-Country Escort who travels with the group for the duration of the tour. (Budget CAD$40-$60).
- We suggest you read up on tipping culture in the various places you will be visiting so you can show your appreciation for any personal service provided with an appropriate gratuity.
- Other tipping customs in Canada are similar to tipping customs in the US.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
Can I transfer my deposit to another tour?
To get off this tour and register for another tour, you must follow these steps - in the order shown:
2) WAIT before submitting your new reservation! You must receive the Cancellation Confirmation email before submitting your new reservation. This can take up to 2 business days. The Cancellation Confirmation email will list the amount of parked credits from this tour that are now available to use on a new reservation.
3) COMPLETE the new Reservation Form and USE the parked credits towards your deposit on the new tour.
Note: If you used Parked Credits to pay the deposit on this tour, these credits cannot be used a second time and are not eligible to be transferred.
