Itinerary
Monday, 26 April 2027: Arrive Memphis; Welcome Dinner (D)
Welcome to Memphis, the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock 'n roll. Schedule your flight to arrive no later than 4:00pm and take local transportation to the hotel. The tour will begin at the hotel at 6:00pm with our Welcome Meeting, followed by a casual dinner to get better acquainted. Overnight Memphis - 2 nights
Tuesday, 27 April 2027: Graceland; Sun Studio (B,D)
We'll take an unforgettable journey through the most famous rock ‘n’ roll residence in the world: Graceland. Memphis was Elvis Presley's home for more than 20 years and at Graceland you can explore the personal side of The King. Learn how his revolutionary style and unique sound changed forever the face of popular music and culture. Even if you don't consider yourself a fan, this is a unique experience. Once we're done at Graceland, we'll make our way to legendary Sun Studio, which lays claim as the birthplace of rock 'n' roll. This is where musical legends like B.B. King, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis were discovered. Stand in the very same spot that Elvis first recorded and hear inside stories about how musicians got their start. This evening, after a casual group dinner, you might want to meander down Beale Street and take in some great blues music.
Wednesday, 28 April 2027: Civil Rights Museum; Travel to Nashville (B,L)
We begin our day as we make our way to the Civil Rights Museum, often considered a "must do" while in Memphis. The museum's exhibits tell the story of a pivotal moment in American history, leaving a lasting impression on all who visit. Then, we're off to Nashville, a capital city for country music and so much more. Along the way we'll stop for lunch and break up the drive a bit, giving everyone a chance to stretch their legs and soak in the Tennessee scenery. Overnight Nashville - 3 nights
Thursday, 29 April 2027: Country Music Hall of Fame; National Museum of African American Music (B)
Today is filled with music in the heart of the city! We begin with a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame, dubbed "the Smithsonian of Country Music". This afternoon we visit one of the city's newest musical attractions, the National Museum of African American Music, filled with interactive stations where you can sing gospel, dance disco and rap with the best. After all, Nashville is known for more than just country music.
Friday, 30 April 2027: Ryman Auditorium; Farewell Lunch; Evening Grand Ole Opry Show (B,L)
In the heart of Nashville is the Ryman Auditorium, a National Historic Landmark that is most famous for being the early home of the Grand Ole Opry. But the Ryman has more stories to tell. Since it was built in 1892, it has served as an evangelical temple and a premier performance venue, and has been called the “Carnegie Hall of the South,” the “Home of Bluegrass,” and “The Mother Church of Country Music.” We'll then enjoy a Farewell Lunch before we spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at the Grand Ole Opry. First we'll enjoy a tour of the Opry before attending one of America’s great live music shows. Unlike a typical concert, the Opry presents eight or more artists on each show. Not only does it offer a sample of each artist’s musical style, it is perhaps the only show that routinely features three generations of performers – legends, superstars and up-and-comers. What a way to cap our week!
Saturday, 01 May 2027: Return Home from Nashville (B)
Sadly, our time together has come to an end. Schedule your departure at your convenience. Transfers are not included but your Tour Leader can assist with organizing travelers into small groups so you can ride-share to the airport if you wish.

What do others say about this tour and traveling with WTT?
How Does Room Sharing Work?
On the Reservation Form there are 3 choices regarding room-sharing.

- Select "Yes, I want to share a room" and WTT will assign you a roommate when Final Travel Instructions are sent out.
- You can specify a roommate by entering her name where indicated. If your named roommate is not on the tour, for any reason, WTT will assign you a roommate unless you pay to have your own room, if available.
- Select "No, I do not wish to share a room" if you want to have your own room. Additional costs apply.
- All shared rooms have 2 beds
- All shared rooms are non-smoking
- No special requests about your roommate can be accommodated
- See "Frequently Asked Questions" TAB for more details
How Active is this Tour?
- 75% Easy
- 25% Moderate (driving distances and moderate walking)
Your Responsibilities as a Solo Traveler
As a solo traveler you are responsible for yourself, your possessions, your physical fitness, and all other aspects related to participation in the WTT tour you have chosen. Be sure to read the itinerary closely to better understand the physical requirements necessary for the tour.
WTT tours are not suitable for anyone whose mobility is challenged or compromised. If you struggle with walking, standing or negotiating stairs or if you are in doubt as to your ability to meet the physical activity requirements, you should not sign up for this trip.
What is the Group Size?
You will be introduced to the WTT Tour Leader when you receive your Final Travel Instructions, about 2-3 weeks before the tour begins.
Learn about your fellow travelers after final payment by visiting MyWTT. Room sharing assignments will be listed in the Final Travel Instructions.
What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Each day of the itinerary lists the included meals for that day (B,L,D,O). When a meal is not included, the WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions for where to eat.
You do not have to dine alone unless it is your personal choice. You'll most likely be dining with new acquaintances you've made, or you can join the Tour Leader.
Dietary Restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten-free dietary restrictions can be accommodated on this tour with limited selections.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
In general the temperature, rainfall and humidity levels vary based on the time of the year. We suggest you monitor weather apps before you depart for the most current information.
For This Trip You May Want—
- Jacket for cooler evenings
- Comfortable walking shoes
- One smart-casual outfit if you’d like to dress up a bit for dinner
- Lightweight rain jacket or travel umbrella, just in case!
- Sunglasses and/or hat & sunscreen
Good Packing Habits—
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing to layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping pills, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack enough medication in your carry-on for the duration of the tour plus a few extra as precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
We will use the WTT Coach. Luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicle and the requirement that travelers manage their belongings on their own.
- It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
- You may bring one suitcase and a day pack or shoulder bag to keep with you in the coach.
- Maximum suitcase size: 22-24 inches in height. This is the size of bag that fits into the overhead bins of aircraft. Suitcases larger than this will not fit properly in the WTT coach; don't bring them.
- The weight of your bag should not exceed 30 pounds as you will need to lift it into the coach luggage compartment.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings. We expect you to take your belongings from the coach to your room and to bring it back to the coach and load it on days we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient. The possibility of steps exist at most hotel entrances.
How much money should I bring on this tour?
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- You are responsible for tipping waitstaff, porters, or other individuals who provide a service to you at the hotel, or other public locations.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
