Wednesday, 27 October 2027: Modern Dubai City Tour; Burj Khalifa Skyscraper (B,L)
Our Dubai adventure kicks off this morning with a Welcome Meeting at 8:00am over breakfast at our hotel. We then depart for a morning sightseeing tour with our guide to explore the modern side of Dubai, known for its record breaking architecture, its cosmopolitan culture and of course its bling. Our first stop is the Miracle Garden, the world's largest natural flower garden. Be wowed by the 50 million blooming flowers meticulously arranged in innovative and sculptural designs. See the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a traditional Arabian-style market with shops and cafés. Our tour continues with a drive along the prestigious Jumeirah Coastline, where we capture iconic shots of architectural marvels like the Burj Al Arab, the world's most luxurious all-suite hotel with its unmistakable sail silhouette. Be dazzled by the shimmering towers of the Dubai Marina before we explore the incredible man-made wonder of the Palm Jumeirah. After lunch together, we ascend the king of skyscrapers, the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building on the planet! Prepare for breathtaking panoramic views as we're whisked up to the 124th floor.
Thursday, 28 October 2027: Traditional Dubai City Tour; Cultural Group Lunch (B,L)
Old Dubai was as a fishing and pearl diving village in the early 1700s. Divers would spend several weeks or months at sea bringing luxury pearls back to the harbor which is what made Dubai so popular. As time went on, Old Dubai transformed into a global trading post. Today our tour begins in the historic Bastakia district is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Dubai. Here we view traditional wind towers and the Al Fahidi Fort, the oldest building in the city. We then visit the Shindagha Museum and gain and appreciation for Dubai Creek's trading history. Experience a quintessential Dubai tradition by crossing the iconic Dubai Creek aboard an "abra" (traditional water taxi) to immerse ourselves in the fragrant Spice Souk and the dazzling Gold Souk. We share lunch together at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, where we'll gain valuable insights into local culture, customs, and religion through their engaging "Open doors. Open minds." programs. As we savor a delicious array of traditional Emirati cuisine, we'll participate in enlightening discussions led by cultural presenters. Our last stop is the Dubai Frame, offering stunning 500-foot high vistas of both Old and New Dubai from its unique walkway and glass floor.
Friday, 29 October 2027: Free Time; Desert Safari; BBQ Dinner with Belly Dancing (B,D)
The morning is yours to enjoy as you wish. Consider a trip downtown to walk around Burj Lake or the see the famous shopping mall. There are women only pink taxis in Dubai! Perhaps you'd like to simply relax at the hotel. Late this afternoon, we leave behind the bustle of the city and travel into the heart of the desert. Enjoy a thrilling 4WD journey over rolling dunes. As the afternoon sun begins to fade, like a shimmering mirage, we see the flickering lights of camp where a traditional Arabian welcome awaits. Relax on comfortable, low cushions in Bedouin tents, sip an authentic cup of Arabic coffee, and have the opportunity to ride a camel. We enjoy dinner together and an evening performance of belly dancing and folklore dance called Tanoura. This dance is performed by men in colorful, multi-layered skirts that come alive as they spin. We return to the hotel late this evening.
Saturday, 30 October 2027: Full Day Abu Dhabi Excursion (B,L)
Today we travel to the Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi is surprisingly green, notice how the landscape changes as we approach. The city has many palm lined boulevards, mangrove forests and city parks. Our tour begins with a visit to the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace to gain insight about Emirates history, values and current governance. The palace is a working palace, not a residence, offering the world a chance to see the UAE's governing policies. We then proceed to Yas Island, where we pass the impressive, modern Formula 1 circuit and Ferrari World, followed by a lunch together. The highlight of the day is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This is the largest mosque in the UAE and is known to many as a symbol of peace and tolerance. With 82 domes, over 1,000 columns, and the world's largest hand-knotted carpet, the mosque was built with materials from over 30 countries worldwide. This is one of the best examples of modern Islamic architecture in the world. After the visit, we return back to the hotel in Dubai for a relaxing evening.
Sunday, 31 October 2027: Free Day; Farewell Dinner on Yacht (B,D)
Spend the day as you wish. Your Tour Director will have suggestions. Tonight we regroup for our Farewell Dinner as we cruise the coastline of Dubai and make our way into the Arabian Gulf. Admire the spectaular views of 'The Atlantis' at the outer crescent of the Palm Jumeirah and the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel. See the amazing offshore World Islands, a remarkable creation mirroring the map of the globe. We'll reminisce about our Arabian adventure over dinner against the backdrop of these incredible landmarks.
Monday, 01 November 2027: Return Home from Dubai (B)
Sadly, our Arabian adventure has come to an end. Make your return flight from Dubai at your convenience. The WTT Tour Director can assist with coordinating ride shares for those who wish.

Your Responsibilities as a Solo Traveler
As a solo traveler you are responsible for yourself, your possessions, your physical fitness, and all other aspects related to participation in the WTT tour you have chosen. Be sure to read the itinerary closely to better understand the physical requirements necessary for the tour.
WTT tours are not suitable for anyone whose mobility is challenged or compromised. If you struggle with walking, standing or negotiating stairs or if you are in doubt as to your ability to meet the physical activity requirements, you should not sign up for this trip.
What is the Group Size?
You will be introduced to the WTT Tour Director when you receive your Final Travel Instructions, about 2-3 weeks before the tour begins.
Learn about your fellow travelers after final payment by visiting MyWTT. Room sharing assignments will be listed in the Final Travel Instructions.
What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Each day of the itinerary lists the included meals for that day (B,L,D,O). When a meal is not included, the WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions for where to eat.
You do not have to dine alone unless it is your personal choice. You'll most likely be dining with new acquaintances you've made, or you can join the Tour Leader.
WTT has limited to no control over food selections or variety from meal-to-meal, especially at hotels. While we do our best to accommodate dietary requests and ensure variety of options, we cannot guarantee either.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
In general the temperature, rainfall and humidity levels vary based on the time of the year. We suggest you monitor weather apps leading up to the time you depart for the most current information.
- A scarf to cover your head
- Long pants or long skirts, long sleeves ankle to wrist shirts
- No tight or transparent clothing
- No visible tattoos
For This Trip You May Want—
- Shoes that are comfortable for walking
- Refillable water bottle
- Smart-casual wear if you'd like to dress up a bit for dinners
- Lightweight but warm jacket/sweater for the cool mornings and evenings or the unusually brisk day
- Inexpensive rain poncho or travel umbrella, just in case
Good Packing Habits—
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping aids, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring only two pairs of everyday shoes: one pair of well-broken-in walking shoes, and a second pair that could do double-duty as a walking shoe or a slightly dressy shoe.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
On every WTT tour, our policies regarding luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicles we use, the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance and the restrictions imposed by other forms of transportation such as [trains and small planes].
- It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
- You may bring one suitcase plus a carry-on bag.
- We recommend your suitcase be no larger than 26 inches high as measured from the FLOOR to the top of the retracted handle to make it easy for you to handle yourself.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings. We expect you to take your belongings from the coach to your room and to bring it back to the coach on days we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient.
- Steps exist at most hotel entrances. On occasion the coach must unload passengers and luggage some distance from the hotel entrance.
What are the health recommendations for this tour?
What are the phone and internet recommendations for this tour?
- You should understand what your current cell phone plan includes in terms of data and minutes. Some, like certain T-Mobile plans, include an international package.
- Contact your cell phone service provider before departing about adding an international calling plan. Most carriers have flat daily rates which will allow your US-based phone to be functional upon arrival in a foreign country.
- Managing data while traveling internationally is important. Using WiFi when available and communicating through apps like What's App help you manage data usage while traveling.
- Learn how to make an international call BEFORE you leave. Consult your cell provider and check out the website www.HowtoCallAbroad.com.
What are the electricity requirements for this tour?
Most of today's electronics (laptops, phone chargers etc.) are multi-voltage and will work worldwide automatically without a transformer, but will require a standard European plug adapter. Do not bring any heating appliances (curling iron, flat iron, etc) unless they are specifically rated as multi-voltage.
How much money should I bring on this tour?
Only you can determine the optimum amount of cash to take on tour. When budgeting for out-of-pocket expenses, there are several aspects to consider: whether the country you are visiting is a cash-based society, the number of meals you are responsible for, your individual shopping interests and habits, and tipping expectations.
- The official currency of the United Arab Emirates is the UAE Dirham (AED).
- ATMs are typically the best way of obtaining local currency; they are found in most airports and tourist destinations. ATMs of major banks often give much better exchange rates than currency-exchange kiosks.
- Electronic and card payments are widely accepted across Dubai, though having cash for smaller purchases is helpful.
- If using a debit card, it is good practice to limit the amount of cash available in the account and simply transfer money from another account if you need more at any point on tour. Always use caution when withdrawing money.
- Many travelers feel more comfortable having local currency before they depart for the tour. You may be able to order currency from your bank.
- Notify your credit card issuer that you will be traveling and provide dates of travel.
- Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted, although many cards charge a foreign transaction fee. Be sure to investigate your card of choice as there are many that do not impose these fees and are better suited for international travel.
- If a merchant gives you the choice between making your transaction in USD or the local currency, always choose the local currency, to avoid dynamic currency conversion which includes a conversion fee.
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- Tipping in Dubai is not mandatory, but 10% for outstanding service is highly appreciated. In restaurants, you might want to tip in cash to ensure the tip goes directly to the staff.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Director for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $9-$12 per day.
Can I transfer my deposit to another tour?
To get off this tour and register for another tour, you must follow these steps - in the order shown:
