Itinerary
Monday, 30 November 2026: Arrive New York City; Welcome Dinner (D)
Schedule your flight to arrive into New York City no later than 4:00pm to have time to transfer to the hotel and check in. Should you arrive earlier in the day, go exploring or relax. The tour begins at 6:00pm in the lobby of the hotel. We will meet as a group then walk to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a Welcome Dinner and get acquainted. Overnight New York City - 4 nights
Tuesday, 01 December 2026: Walking Tour of 5th Avenue; Top of the Rock; Group Dinner (B,D)
We'll enjoy breakfast as typical New Yorkers at a local breakfast spot. Then we experience the magic of New York City dressed to the nines for the holidays. We begin with a walking tour of Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center to glimpse the extravagantly decorated store windows which have been a holiday hallmark for more than a century. Afterwards, feel free to stroll through Bryant Park, home to one of the city's best seasonal holiday markets. Late this afternoon, we'll take in views of the city from high above at Rockefeller Center's Top of the Rock and then enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.
Wednesday, 02 December 2026: 9/11 Museum & Memorial; Afternoon at Leisure (B)
Enjoy breakfast this morning at the hotel before we head off via the subway to downtown Manhattan. We will visit the somber 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Built in the footprint of the original Twin Towers, the plaza pays tribute to the thousands who tragically lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center. Take the time you need in the museum to walk through this repository of history. Afterward, there is time to do as you please. You can join your Tour Leader to visit Battery Park which offers great views of the Statue of Liberty and walk up Wall Street to see the Charging Bull and Fearless Girl bronze works. Perhaps you want to ride the Staten Island Ferry, or if it's not too chilly, stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. Your Tour Leader will have suggestions. This evening is a good time to see a Broadway show if you so desire. You can either plan ahead and book tickets in advance or let serendipity be your guide and purchase same-day discount tickets.
Thursday, 03 December 2026: Radio City Music Hall & Christmas Show; Farewell Dinner (B,D)
This morning join your Tour Leader for a typical NYC breakfast bagel before we head to historic Radio City Music Hall. Since opening in 1932, Radio City Music Hall has been known for its art deco architecture, and the 'Stage Door Tour' provides a chance to explore this beautifully renovated building accompanied by a knowledgeable guide (pending availability). We're then in for a treat as we watch the world-famous Rockettes perform in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. With a cast and crew of hundreds, an awe-inspiring living nativity and magnificent special effects, this is an unparalleled Christmas show with universal appeal that lifts spirits and creates memories. It's a holiday tradition here in New York City. This afternoon is free to ensure you have the opportunity to see and do everything you hoped. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is nearby, which is always a wonderful way to spend an hour or two. Your Tour Leader will have additional suggestions and help pair travelers with similar interests. We will regroup tonight for our Farewell Dinner.
Friday, 04 December 2026: Return Home

How Active is this Tour?
- 50% Easy
- 50% Moderate (extensive urban walking; public transportation use, stairs, crowds, winter weather)
Walking is a key component of this tour and of the New York City way of life. On some days, between walking tours and personal exploration you can expect to walk up to 5 miles or more over the course of a day, typically on pavement. It is not always practical to grab a cab, so expect and plan to walk a lot. In addition, you will be utilizing the New York City subway system, which can often entail navigating many stairs as not all stations have elevators or escalators. You will better enjoy New York City if you possess a general level of fitness and endurance

- We recommend you bring only one suitcase plus small shoulder bag/day pack/purse.

- You are responsible for managing your own belongings.
