Itinerary
Tuesday, 23 June 2020: Arrive Las Vegas; Welcome Dinner (D)
Schedule your arrival no later than 4:00pm and take local transportation to the hotel. Should you arrive earlier in the day, simply relax or go exploring. The tour begins at 6:00pm in the hotel lobby. After introductions we will go out to dinner. Overnight Las Vegas - 1 night
Wednesday, 24 June 2020: Scenic Drive to Zion National Park (B)
We depart Las Vegas this morning on our way to Zion National Park. Sit back and enjoy the drive as much of the journey is along scenic highways in Nevada, Arizona and Utah. Southern Utah is a geologic wonderland that offers some of the most fascinating and breathtaking landscapes to be found anywhere. Upon arrival, we'll stop in at the park's Visitor Center to get our bearings and make plans for tomorrow. Overnight Zion – 2 nights
Thursday, 25 June 2020: Explore Zion National Park with Scenic Walk; Free Time (B,D)
The entire day is devoted to spending time in this amazing national park. To best experience Zion, hike the varied trails throughout the park's unique sandstone cliffs, which range in color and have been described as sand castles decorating the desert canyons. We'll get an early start today to try to beat the heat. Join your Tour Leader on a hike up Watchman's Trail or along the Pa'rus Trail. Be sure to check the ranger-guided programs available as there may be something of interest to you. We will get together for dinner tonight.
Friday, 26 June 2020: Scenic Drive to Bryce Canyon; Afternoon Scenic Drive (B,L)
This morning we make the leisurely two-hour drive to Bryce Canyon to experience otherworldly terrain. Our first stop is the Visitor Center to get oriented and plan our time here. Bryce Canyon is not a single canyon, but a series of natural amphitheaters or bowls, carved into the edge of a high plateau. There are so may lovely hikes that are possible. You might opt to hike the leisurely 1.3 mile Navajo Trail and walk among the hoodoos, spires of rock that form when ice and rainwater wear away the limestone. Or perhaps you'd prefer to walk along the rim taking in the expansive views. Overnight Bryce Canyon – 2 nights
Saturday, 27 June 2020: Explore & Hike Bryce Canyon (B,D)
We get an early morning start to again beat the heat. Join your Tour Leader on one of the many grand hikes in this canyon. Peek-A-Boo Loop Trail is one of the most popular hikes as it descends into the heart of the Bryce Amphitheater where the magic of the canyon is at its most pronounced. Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon at all, but an escarpment eroded over time. As you walk down into the canyon, a formation called the "Wall of Windows" appears above. This monstrous slab of limestone has been punctured with gaping holes that let the bright blue sky peek through. After a full day of exploring the park, we'll regroup for dinner together this evening.
Sunday, 28 June 2020: Return to Las Vegas; Group Lunch; Free Evening (B,L)
We return to Las Vegas this morning, which gives plenty of time to explore and enjoy the over-the-top splendor of the city. We will enjoy a Farewell Lunch to share our experiences and say our goodbyes. This leaves the evening free to experience Las Vegas your way. Overnight Las Vegas – 1 night
Monday, 29 June 2020: Return Home (B)

What meals are included and how are dietary restrictions accommodated?
- Breakfast daily
- 2 Lunches
- 3 Dinners
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dietary requests can be accommodated on this tour with limited selections.
What clothing and items should I pack for this trip?
- Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
- Refillable water bottle
- Sturdy walking or trail shoes with good tread
You May Also Want—
- Swimsuit—hotels have pools
- Lightweight, long-sleeve shirt for sun protection
- Smart-casual wear if you'd like to dress up a bit in Las Vegas
- Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping pills, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.
Good Packing Habits—
- Pack a limited amount of comfortable, casual clothing that layer and coordinate. Your fellow travelers will not mind – or even notice – seeing you in the same clothing.
- Bring only two pairs of everyday shoes: one pair of well-broken-in walking shoes, and a second pair that could do double-duty as a walking shoe or a slightly dressy shoe.
- Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
- Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.
What are the luggage restrictions for this tour?
On every WTT tour, our policies regarding luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicles we use and the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance.
- It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
- You may bring one suitcase plus small shoulder bag/day pack/purse.
- Maximum suitcase size: 25-inches in height as measured from the FLOOR to the top of the retracted handle. The small case in a 3-piece luggage set easily meets this requirement and should be plenty roomy for this length of trip.
- Suitcases larger than 25" in height will not fit in the WTT coach; don't bring them.
- The maximum weight of your suitcase should not exceed 30 pounds, as you will need to lift it into the coach luggage compartment.
- You are responsible for managing your own belongings. We expect you to take your belongings from the coach to your room and to bring it back to the coach and load it on days we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient. The possibility of steps exist at most hotel entrances.
How much money should I bring on this tour?
Only you can determine the optimum amount of cash to take on tour. When budgeting for out-of-pocket expenses, there are several aspects to consider: the number of meals you are responsible for, the amount of money you like to have on-hand for snacks and drinks, and your individual shopping interests and habits.
- Notify your credit card issuer that you will be traveling and provide dates of travel.
- ATMs are typically the best way of obtaining cash; you must know your PIN number for your debit and credit cards in order to use ATMs.
What are the tipping guidelines for this tour?
- You are responsible for tipping wait-staff, porters, or other individuals who provide a service to you at the hotel, or other public locations.
- You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $8-$10 per day.
What other Additional Information do I need to know?
