Selections onboard highlight the local cuisine. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dietary requests can be accommodated on this tour with advanced notice and with limited selections.

In general this time of year the average temperature during the day is in the mid-80s with lows in the mid-60s.
For This Trip You Will Need—

• Swimsuits - more than one is recommended
• Casual clothing, preferably quick-dry materials
• Soft-soled boat shoes or sneakers. Sport sandals such as Tevas, Keens or Chacos are highly recommended.
• Personal toiletries, including soap, shampoo
• Sunscreen, sunglasses, brimmed hat
• Insect repellent

• Lightweight jacket/sweater for the cool mornings and evenings or the unusually brisk day.
• Lightweight, long-sleeved shirt and pants for sun protection
• Refillable water bottle
• Mask, fins and snorkel, if you prefer to use your own.
• If you are prone to motion or sea sickness, bring anti-motion medication or the patch.
• Small flashlight
• Reading materials
• Ziploc bags for wet clothes and miscellaneous items
• Extra bath towels or beach towel - you are issued one of each for the duration of the sail.
• Bring what you need to get a good night's sleep, such as ear plugs, white noise generator, sleeping pills, etc. Unfamiliar noises of all types can disrupt your rest.

Good Packing Habits—

• Pack a very limited amount of comfortable,"Bahama Casual" clothing.
• Pare down your beauty regimen to the bare minimum and always pack travel-sized toiletries.
• Pack medication in your carry-on and pack only as much as needed for the duration of your tour plus a few extra days as a precaution.

On every WTT tour, our policies regarding luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicles we use, the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance.

• It is best to travel as lightly as possible.  Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.
• We strongly recommend you bring only one bag, preferably a soft-sided duffel bag or other collapsible bag as storage is at a premium.  Suitcases are difficult to carry down the ship's ladder to the below-deck cabins. 
• WTT will have a vacant cabin for storing luggage.
• You are responsible for managing your own belongings. You must be able to navigate airports and get on and off the excursion ship, with your belongings and without assistance.

Only you can determine your need to stay in contact while traveling. Internet access is available in most hotels, sometimes for a fee.

• If you are bringing a cell phone, contact your cell phone service provider before departing about adding international calling and/or texting features.  Texting internationally is often less expensive than placing a cell phone call.

Electrical outlets in The Bahamas are compatible with all American devices. 

Only you can determine the optimum amount of cash to take on tour. When budgeting for out-of-pocket expenses, there are several aspects to consider:  the number of meals you are responsible for, the amount of money you like to have on-hand for snacks and drinks, and your individual shopping interests and habits.

• Notify your credit card issuer that you will be traveling and provide dates of travel.
• The Bahamas's official currency is the Bahamian Dollar, which is fixed at a one-to-one exchange ration with the US Dollar.  USD is accepted everywhere in the Bahamas.
• Many Bahamian businesses only accept cash.
• Credit card purchases onboard the Liberty Clipper are considered domestic transactions, not subject to foreign transactions fees.

Gratuities for the Liberty Clipper's crew have NOT been included in the tour's price. You are responsible for tipping the crew at the end of the tour based on service provided.  The amount is entirely a personal preference, though the Clipper recommends budgeting about $30-$35 per day, which is split among the entire crew.

• You are responsible for tipping wait-staff, porters, or other individuals who provide a service to you at the hotel, or other public locations.
• You may want to tip your WTT Tour Leader for an outstanding job. The amount is entirely a personal preference. If you'd like a guideline, consider $5-8 per day. 

• The schooner is exclusive to WTT for the week; no other guests.
• Accommodations, and layout, vary from cabin to cabin.
• All cabins have twin bunk beds.
• All travelers are required to have a valid passport. Most countries require your passport to be valid a minimum of six months after your return home date, and have at least two consecutive blank pages.
• Travelers from Canada and other countries should check their entry requirements with their consulate. Visa requirements are based on your country of residence.
