The "Canadian" is among the most renowned trains in the world linking Toronto in the east to Vancouver in the west. Enjoy breathtaking scenery every moment between Canada's largest city and the Pacific coast. On this journey, you’ll see the lakes in Northern Ontario, the lush boreal forest, the western prairies and the magnificent Rocky Mountains. We just might even spot a bear on the tracks. "They're often on the tracks eating grain that has spilled from a freight train," explains a train attendant. The train slows and a blast from the air horn sends the hulking brown bear ambling trackside to safety. We will stop in Jasper, Alberta and visit Jasper National Park before continuing to Vancouver where we will have two nights to explore this beautiful area.
