Dogs and winter fun just go together! The Iditarod, a thousand-mile journey from Anchorage to Nome, is known as the "Last Great Race on Earth." The course is a part of the Iditarod National Historical Trail, which was used in early years for winter travel. Dog sleds delivered the mail, the preacher, the groceries, and hauled out gold and furs all the way to Anchorage or Fairbanks. For a true winter experience we will drive a team of dogs. Then it's off to Fairbanks where the annual World Ice Art Championships are held.  World-class ice sculptors gather to create the biggest, most elaborate pieces of ice art. With a bit of luck, we might be able to see the Northern Lights.  Join us for this very special adventure.
